My Savage is a 1997 model. Could this model have a different alloy slide metal/material than other carburetors?
Is there a manufacturers defect in the crankcase ventilation system in this model? Is there a periodic maintenance requirement for the ventilation system.
In my experience with automobiles; I have HAD TO REPLACE the exhaust gas re-circulating valve (many occasions) for being faulty. How ever, contrary to popular belief---I have never found a malfuctioning, positive crankcase ventilation valve!!
